

David Moffat would barely recognize the old girl.
The once woebegone depot of Moffat's ill-fated Denver Northwestern & Pacific Railroad has new life as the gussied-up Great Room, part of a $78-million senior-living development at Balfour at Riverfront Park, 15th and Little Raven streets near LoDo in Denver.
Moffat's railroad was envisioned by its founder as a direct east-west link between Denver and Salt Lake City. Its little brick depot, built in the Georgian Revival style, was the eastern anchor and showpiece.
