Welcome to our newsletter. It’s just another way for all of us to stay in touch during the COVID-19 crisis.
We’ll share inspiring and fun stories about how our residents and associates are staying engaged and staying safe – all the while navigating “the new normal.” We hope you enjoy the latest news from Heritage Greens. And if you have any story ideas or news you’d like to share, let us know. We’re all in this together!
Social distancing has changed the way we conduct our wellness programs at Heritage Green, and technology is our new best friend. Our Wellness team is hard at work recording exercise programs, trivia, even short stories! Each day, Wellness team members videotape select programs, which are then broadcast on our HGTV (Heritage Greens TV) Channel 1-1 in their apartments. Our residents can follow along with exercise class, match wits during word games and Name That Tune, not to mention supporting one another during prayer and meditation. Pastor Huff has taped his weekly Sunday service.
No one misses Vivian and Pat playing beautiful tunes on the piano! Our own Gina, Mark, and Deana sing their hearts out. Freddie and the Mood Swings are still performing live in their rooms as well. While we are only able to gather in small, socially distanced groups, we can still gather as a community – staying engaged with one another and staying healthy. And it feels good to see the familiar faces of our Wellness team leading engaging programs that focus on the six dimensions of wellness: vocational, intellectual, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual. Stop by our Facebook every Tuesday at 3pm as we go LIVE.
Good Times – New Orleans Style!
Our residents were out and about enjoying great music and rickshaw rides.
Preserves for EVERYONE!
Our residents prove that you’re never too old to learn new things. What better time than now. Eunice had never made preserves before. She’s a natural!
Monday Night Supper Club with Josh
Every Monday 8 residents can reserve a spot in the Supper Club. Our Chef, Josh Adams, cooks a meal right in front of them. It has been a delicious hit!
